    Thanks so much for your blog! I am a Canadian currently living in Vicenza. I have found your information about obtaining the permesso to be very informative and helpful. I do have a question though. You mentioned you got a tax number and could then start working I would love to know what type of work you were able to obtain. Thanks in advance,

    • Hi Jamie, thanks for your comment. I worked as an English teacher, teaching Business English to adults. In July and August the industry generally shuts down but by the beginning of September you can find a lot of ads for teachers and I think that’s what most native English expats did there. I hope that helps.
